Midwest Airlines Frequent Flyer Program Reborn as Midwest Miles

Midwest Express Airlines has re-launched its frequent flyer program with a new name, Midwest Miles, as well as several new features.
What new features, you ask? For starters, Midwest has entered into partnerships with both American Airlines (effective June 1) and Air Jamaica (effective April 2), and is bidding adieu to Northwest and Virgin Atlantic (effective May 28). The Midwest Miles program will also offer members the option of Choice awards, which waive award seat capacity controls. Additionally, members will now have the option of purchasing miles, both for themselves and as gifts, and will have the opportunity to book awards online.
"We're continually seeking ways to improve our passengers' travel experiences and reward their loyalty," said Thomas J. Vick, senior vice president and chief marketing officer. "That's why we're especially pleased to partner with American Airlines to offer travelers the opportunity to earn Midwest Miles while flying on American, and redeem miles to travel on American to more than 240 destinations worldwide."
On March 1, the airline will follow suit and drop the "Express" from its name.
If you are a current member of the Frequent Flyer program, your account number and balance will remain unchanged. Questions about the changes can be directed to the Midwest Miles service center at (800) 314-7125, or check the new Web site at http://www.midwestmiles.com.
