Question

How do I stack hotel bonuses for elite credits this fall?

With all these hotel promotions running this fall, how can I maximize my stays to earn elite credits and bonus points?

WiseFlyer

Start with the offers that pay in elite credits, since those are the hardest to earn through ordinary stays. Marriott Bonvoy is currently offering double elite night credits on Homes and Villas by Marriott Bonvoy bookings of two or more nights, but there are two catches: you need to book by September 30, the stay must be completed by December 15, and the booking has to be at least US$1,750. That is a steep minimum spend, so it only makes sense if you were already planning a pricey rental—not as a way to manufacture status.

For points and cash back, GHA Discovery has a more accessible play: register for the promotion, then stay two nights or more at any brand you have not visited in 2026, and you get a D$50 bonus for each such brand. The promotion runs September 1 through October 31, and you can stack it with other GHA promos. The dashboard will show which brands you have already stayed at this year, so you can target new ones. There is also a raffle component—you can enter without a stay by scanning a QR code at a participating hotel, once per brand, and each eligible stay earns five entries.

Best Western Rewards is running a different kind of stack: a $31 gift card per stay at U.S., Canadian, or Caribbean properties, booked by September 7 and completed by December 31. You can earn up to four cards ($124 total), and this stacks with the global 2x points offer that runs September 8 through December 31. If you are a Best Western regular, that is a simple double dip. The gift cards must be used by March 1, 2027, so they are not a long-term asset.

One thing the sources do not settle: whether these offers can be combined with each other across programs. You can hold status in multiple chains, and nothing in the coverage says you cannot run the Marriott and GHA and Best Western plays simultaneously. But each program's terms are separate, and the Marriott minimum spend plus the GHA registration requirement mean you should read the details before booking. The actionable takeaway: decide which currency you need more—elite credits, points, or cash-like gift cards—then pick the offer that matches, and register before the deadlines.

Bottom line

Book the Marriott Homes and Villas offer only if you already need a pricey rental, chase the GHA D$50 for new brands if you can add one fresh stay, and grab the Best Western gift cards if you are a regular—just register before the early September deadlines.

P.S. The QR-code raffle at GHA is the rare hotel promotion that rewards you for not staying—so if you are near a participating property, a coffee and a scan might be the most efficient elite move you make this season.
