US Airways has announced the details for their latest version of the Grand Slam promotion, where members can earn up to 110,000 bonus miles for partner activity.
Grand Slam begins Sept. 14, 2011 and "hits" can be earned through Nov. 14, 2011. Each qualifying activity will count as a hit and members will earn bonus points according to their total number of hits. Members will earn bonus miles on every fourth hit.
This year, members will find more Preferred-qualifying miles opportunities. Buy Up and Trial Preferred purchases will count as hits and only Preferred members can earn the maximum 110,000 bonus miles after 40 hits. Regular members max out at 100,000 miles for 36 hits.
Qualifying partner activity includes car rentals, hotels stays, co-branded credit and debit card purchases, converting hotel points into Dividend Miles, shopping mall purchase, buying miles and purchases with partners, among other transactions. Registration is required before completing qualifying activity at http://www.webflyer.com/link/?5138
Members who complete four hits will earn 3,000 miles, eight hits will earn 10,000 miles, 12 hits will earn 15,000 miles, 16 hits will earn 25,000 miles (2,000 of which are Preferred-qualifying miles (PQMs), 20 hits will earn 35,000 miles, 24 hits will earn 45,000 miles (3,000 of which are Preferred-qualifying miles, for a total of 5,000 PQMs), 28 hits will earn 60,000 miles, 32 hits will earn 80,000 miles, 36 hits will earn 100,000 miles and 40 hits will earn 110,000 miles for Preferred members only (5,000 of which are Preferred-qualifying miles, for a grand total of 10,000 PQMs).
Attribute your partner activity to Dividend Miles this fall and you can rack up some serious miles. Each partner will only count once, but you can get multiple hits in many categories. For example, you can transfer hotel points into Dividend Miles with 10 different hotel programs to get 10 hits. Stay at six different hotel groups and earn six hits. Shopping at the US Airways shopping mall, however, will only count as one hit, regardless of the number of purchases you make.
