Hotels for Heroes

Frequent flyers have been able to donate miles to help military families through the Hero Miles program since the program was founded in 2003.
Now two lawmakers seek to expand the program to include Hotels for Heroes, a program that will allow members of loyalty programs to donate their hotel points to wounded members of the Armed Forces and their families. Senator Ben Cardin (D-MD) and Congressman C.A. Dutch Ruppersberger (D-MD) have introduced legislation to create the program that will help cover the cost of hotel stays while family members visit soldiers recovering at military or VA medical centers.
The bill still needs to be approved by Congress and assuming a successful outcome, you'll soon be able to donate your points to Hotels for Heroes.
