American Airlines has launched a unique online redemption program that provides a quick and easy way for AAdvantage members to redeem miles for awards other than flights at http://www.redeemAAmiles.points.com.
With a few clicks, AAdvantage members can redeem miles for awards at hotels around the world or convert miles into another loyalty currency. ?
AAdvantage has initially partnered with Intercontinental, Marriott, Hilton and Diners Club for the launch of this program, and plans to expand redemption options throughout the year.
For more information on redeemAAmiles and a complete listing of award opportunities, visit http://www.redeemAAmiles.points.com. ?A $25 transaction fee applies to all award redemptions.

Previously, American offered the miles to Hilton Honors points conversion without the "$25 transaction fee." AA does not receive the fee, but points.com does. Why didn't American just try to establish the same conversion partnership that it had with HHonors with other hotel chains without involving the middle man (points.com)? I don't see how this redemption program benefits AAdvantage members.

Your points.com website is a confusing mess. I really don't have time to sort it all out. Why can't you just tell it like it is?
