Viking River Cruises, the world's largest fleet of vessels built specifically for river travel, is running two frequent flyer promotions that give guests the ability to earn frequent flyer miles and to use their frequent flyer miles for flight upgrades.
Viking's E-Check program offers passengers frequent flyer miles on partner airlines when you pay by electronic funds transfer (EFT); concurrently, Viking will allow passengers to use their frequent flyer miles to upgrade their international flights when making travel arrangements through Viking. Every dollar spent through the E-Check program will earn you two miles. The program is free and may be combined with other special offers. If you do not want miles, you can opt for a $100 shipboard credit.
The service fee for the Air Plus frequent flyer flight upgrade program is $100. Both promotions end Sept. 30, 2008. You must book and pay by Sept. 30, 2008 for travel up to or beyond that date. Airline partners include Delta, Northwest and United. Viking hosts river cruises in western, central and eastern Europe, Russia, Ukraine and China. Call (877) 668-4546 to book a cruise.
